Medical aluminum-plastic composite covers are mainly used in industries such as medical and chemical packaging. Different industries have different requirements for medical aluminum-plastic covers. In order to better understand medical aluminum-plastic composite covers, today let's take a look at how to judge the quality of medical aluminum-plastic composite covers based on their appearance.
1. Check riveting. The riveting size should be the same, the surface should be smooth, the thickness should be uniform, and there should be no burrs. The color should be consistent with the color change of the plastic cover. The diameter of the riveting point should be 1-1.5mm larger than the diameter of the riveting hole on the aluminum cover (the length of the flipped edge of the medicinal aluminum-plastic composite cover is 1-1.5mm). The automatic forming function of the medicinal aluminum-plastic cover for racing purposes can all meet the above requirements. During manual riveting, there may be surface unevenness, out of round edges, wire drawing, burrs, and other phenomena, especially when using manual tools for riveting. The electric heating temperature control can cause uneven heating of the riveting material, discoloration, and even burning.
2. Check the gap between the plastic bottle cap and the aluminum bottle cap, use mechanical equipment to rivet the bottle cap into shape, and heat and pressure it at the same time. The plastic bottle cap and the aluminum bottle cap are tightly combined without any gap. However, manual riveting cannot apply pressure, resulting in a large gap between the aluminum cover and the plastic cover, which can shake up and down.
3. Check whether the aluminum cover is deformed, whether the edges of the aluminum cover are neat, whether the height of the aluminum cover meets the packaging requirements, and whether it has undergone oxidation treatment (or coating treatment). The roundness of the aluminum cover directly affects the normal operation of the capping machine. The fit gap between the inner diameter of the aluminum cap and the outer diameter of the bottle mouth should not be too large, otherwise wrinkles will appear during sealing.
4. Check the tearing point of the medical aluminum-plastic combination cover after opening; Check if the burrs at the break point of the medical aluminum-plastic cover are too large after opening; Check if there are any burrs or undamaged areas on the opening of the medical aluminum-plastic composite cover; Scratches cannot be lifted or present.
5. Check the strength of the aluminum cover. In addition to using aluminum alloy material, the thickness of the aluminum material is also an important factor that directly affects the strength of the aluminum cover. The thickness of the aluminum cover material varies with the outer diameter. Generally, for aluminum covers with a diameter of 13-20mm, the thickness of the aluminum material should be selected within the range of 0.18-0.21mm; Aluminum cover with a thickness of 28-33mm, selected within the range of 0.23-0.25mm.
